Okezie Ofoegbu - Chairman

Okezie is a Principal Partner at Libera Partners, a Washington DC-based Business Development and Strategic Advisory Firm. Prior to launching Libera, he was a Vice President at Emerging Capital Partners (ECP), where he was part of a team that invested and managed $1.6 billion of private equity funds in emerging markets with a focus on Africa. While at ECP, he co-led and participated in the development and post-investment management of over $200 million portfolio covering Telecommunications, Financial Services, Logistics, Chemical/Industrial Companies, Oil and Gas, and Agro-Allied businesses.

Prior to ECP, he was with Exxon Mobil’s Upstream Operations in Nigeria. Okezie holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, the University of  Pennsylvania, and a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in Nigeria.

 

Shehu Umar - Independent Director

 Shehu Umar is and Independent Non-executive director and currently a Director with Trapezion Africa a smart grid energy company
He is a graduate of Electrical and electronics engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo university. He also has an MBA from the prestigious IESE Business School - University of Navarra
He comes wih vast experience in various sectors inclusive of which is Telecoms, Power and Finance.
